Belinda is a versatile and accomplished musician, excelling as a performer and teacher of cello, piano, and recorder. She also lends her alto voice to local choral groups.
Music is my passion. I regularly perform with local orchestras, choirs, and ensembles across East Anglia. I also perform as a soloist on all three instruments for private functions and as a feature cellist for a local record label. Additionally, I teach cello and piano, and music theory.
My musical journey began in childhood, learning cello under the guidance of Caroline Verney and Vicky Miller, and participating in Sheila Nelson string groups.
As a teenager, I served as the official accompanist for a ballet school for five years. During my time in Sixth Form, I performed a Piano Concerto with orchestra and co-led the cello section in the London Schools Symphony Orchestra.
I hold a BA Honours degree in Music from the University of East Anglia, where I led the orchestra’s cello section and performed as a Concerto soloist. I also completed a year of 'PGCE with Specialist Strings' at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Beyond my musical endeavours, I have worked as a primary school teacher, taught English both in the UK and abroad (TEFL/TESOL), and currently work within secondary mental health care in the NHS. I also teach mindfulness.
I am both a practitioner and teacher of Mindfulness and a 5X Life Coach - see heartmindbreathe.com for more information.
