Belinda performs as a professional musician throughout East Anglia. She has performed in a number of chamber ensembles for weddings and other private functions, and she can be regularly seen playing across the region in various orchestras (including the Wolsey Orchestra; the Prometheus Orchestra, the Waveney Sinfonia, and the Eastern Recorder Orchestra) or singing with the Ipswich Chamber Choir or St Margaret’s Church Choir.
She is also a regular feature cellist for the Backwater Records label for whom she arranges music. In this capacity, she performs as an accompanying member of the band both as a recording artist and for live gigs.
As a pianist, she has worked as an accompanist for local music services, ballet schools, and as a soloist for private functions. More recently she has performed cello, piano and recorder at local cafes in a series of Cheese, Wine & Music evenings.
“Having worked with Belinda as a performing artist for nine years I have been consistently impressed with her natural aptitude as a musician, shown within he ability to create lines and the imagination and speed with which she does it. Demonstrating great flexibility on a number of occasions, Belinda is an asset to any band and a great pleasure to work with.” Steve Mann, Backwater Records.
“…and as a performer of duo and ensemble work Belinda is solid, sensitive, committed, versative and intuitive…” Rebecca Walker, performer.
“Belinda is an accomplished and natural musician. Her performances reveal playing that is intuitive, responsive and full of musical energy. Her tone on the cello is rich, warm and expressively individual. She is an inspiring and perceptive teacher with immense insight into the music and her instruments.” Stella Maxwell, freelance performer & teacher.
